A guide to navigating the Fremont Open Studios website and maximizing your membership.

Basic Concept

Fremont Open Studios is a platform for artists to showcase their work and participate in our annual two-weekend Open Studios event. Membership costs $35.00 per year and includes:

Website Overview

1. Sign Up Page

  1. Enter your email address. If the account exists, you can renew it.
  2. Click the "Let's Do It!" button to proceed to PayPal for payment.
  3. After payment, fill out the profile form. You will receive an email with login instructions and address validation.
  4. If you cancel on PayPal, you'll return to the front page with a "Transaction Cancelled" alert.

2. Sign In Page

After signing in, the menu updates to include options for setting up your account, editing your profile, and managing your gallery.

3. Edit Profile

Update your personal information, artist statement, and event participation status:

  1. Edit your information and click "Update My Information...".
  2. To appear on the event map, check the box at the bottom of the form. Uncheck it to hide your studio during specific days.

4. Uploader

Add images to your gallery:

  1. Enter a Title and Caption. You can enter nothing at this point and set the caption, title and tags later in the Library editor.
  2. Drag and drop your image file onto the designated area.
  3. Ensure images are under 750KB for optimal performance. A gallery of 10–20 images tiles nicely.

Submitted images will remain visible throughout the year. Expired accounts move to the archived section.

5. Gallery

Preview your gallery:

  • The tiling engine automatically arranges images.
  • The order of images is not customizable.

6. Library

Manage image meta and settings:

  • Edit Title, Caption, and Tags.
  • Assign images as your Cover Picture or Profile Picture.

7. Sign Out

Select Sign Out to log out of your exhibitor account.
