Artist's Guidelines


Welcome to Fremont Open Studios! We're thrilled to have you on board. To make this event a success for everyone, please review the following artist guidelines:

Original Artworks:

Artists must showcase original artworks created from scratch or using art/craft/found materials. The sale of unaltered commercial merchandise is strictly prohibited.

Payment Methods:

Be prepared to handle transactions by making change, accepting checks, or consider setting up a Stripe account for credit card processing.

Promotional Materials:

  • Yard Sign: Display the provided yard sign at your premise to promote your participation.
  • Poster: Download and print the official poster for your own promotional use at your expense.

Group Exhibitions:

If participating in a group exhibition at a shared location, each artist must sign up individually and provide the location address.

Facilities:

Artists may be asked to provide bathroom facilities to patrons, ensuring a comfortable experience for visitors.

Sales Tax:

Tax should be charged on all purchases at the Fremont rate of 10.25%. Artists are responsible for collecting and remitting the sales tax to their California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) account.

Liability Disclaimer:

Fremont Creates organization and Fremont Open Studios disclaim all liability for any issues arising from this program. Artists participate at their own risk, and organizers are not responsible for any disputes, damages, or losses incurred during or as a result of the open studios tour.
